It was quite a feat to chat alongside Rosario la Tremendita and Naike Ponce about the importance of programming more female musicians and female flamenco guitar players at flamenco festivals. The two female singers, exponents of traditional flamenco and flamenco fusion alike, agree with us – they’re committed to an open flamenco space where women in music need to be given more visibility in order to have as much representation as men.
